What we collect

MotoCast collects only the minimum data needed to deliver weather-smart route planning: your email address, weather preferences, and saved routes. Location data is processed in real-time for weather lookups and is never stored on our servers.

• Account information: Your email address and display name when you sign up. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• Location data: Your location is used to show local weather and find nearby routes. Location is processed in real-time and not stored on our servers.
• Saved routes: Routes you explicitly save are stored in your account so they sync between devices.
• Weather preferences: Your temperature, wind, and rain thresholds are stored to calculate ride windows.

What we don't collect

MotoCast does not track your rides, record GPS history, sell your data, or use it for advertising. Your information stays between you and the service.

Third-party services

MotoCast uses four third-party services to operate: Supabase for authentication and storage (EU-hosted), Google Maps for route calculation, Open-Meteo for weather data, and Vercel for hosting.

• Supabase: Authentication and data storage (hosted in the EU).
• Google Maps: Map display and route calculation. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Open-Meteo: Weather data. No personal data is shared — only coordinates for weather lookups.
• Vercel: Website and API hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Your account data is kept only while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings, and we will remove everything promptly.
